Honda Service Pass: Complimentary Maintenance on Your New Honda

What Is Honda Service Pass?

Honda Service Pass is a complimentary maintenance program included with eligible new Honda vehicles at no additional cost. It covers select factory-scheduled maintenance during the earliest part of your ownership — the oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections your Honda asks for through its Maintenance Minder™ system.

There's nothing to purchase, nothing to activate, and no paperwork to keep track of. Coverage is tied to your vehicle's VIN. You bring your Honda to a participating dealership, we look it up, and the covered work is performed at no charge.

What's Covered

Honda Service Pass covers the services your vehicle's Maintenance Minder system calls for during the coverage term — specifically A1 and B1 service:

  • Engine oil change using Honda Genuine oil
  • Oil filter replacement
  • Tire rotation
  • Multi-point inspection

All covered work is performed by factory-trained technicians using Honda Genuine parts and fluids.

Coverage Terms

Coverage length depends on your vehicle's model year:

2025 and 2026 models

1 year / 12,000 miles, whichever comes first

Select 2023 and 2024 models

2 years / 24,000 miles, whichever comes first

Coverage begins on the vehicle's original registration date. All-electric models such as the Honda Prologue have a different covered-service profile — no oil changes are required, so coverage is structured around tire rotation and inspection.

Terms vary by model year and model. Our service advisors can confirm exactly what applies to your VIN.

Honda Service Pass Is Transferable

Coverage belongs to the vehicle, not the owner. If you sell or trade your Honda while the term is still active, the remaining coverage carries over to the next owner.

This also works in your favor when shopping pre-owned: a low-mileage recent-model-year Honda may still have unused Service Pass coverage attached to it. It's worth asking about on any late-model vehicle on our lot.

How to Use Your Honda Service Pass at Honda Mall of Georgia

  1. Wait for your Maintenance Minder alert.
Covered service is triggered by the vehicle's own maintenance system. When the wrench icon and a service code appear on your display, it's time.
  2. Schedule your appointment.
Book online, call our service department, or use the HondaLink® app.
  3. Mention Honda Service Pass at write-up.
Let your service advisor know when you arrive. We'll verify coverage by VIN before any work begins.
  4. Drive away.
Covered services are performed at no charge to you.

What Honda Service Pass Doesn't Cover

Complimentary maintenance is exactly that — maintenance. It does not include:

  • Wear items such as brake pads, wiper blades, and tires
  • Engine air filters and cabin air filters
  • Alignments, balancing, and tire repair
  • Accident or collision damage
  • Repairs caused by neglect, misuse, or lack of required maintenance
  • Any service beyond what the Maintenance Minder system calls for during the coverage term
  • Upgrades or additional services you choose to add during your visit

Honda Service Pass is also separate from — and in addition to — your 3-year/36,000-mile new vehicle limited warranty and 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain limited warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Honda Service Pass cost?

Nothing. It's included with eligible new Honda vehicles at no additional charge.

Do I need to enroll or register?

No. Coverage is attached to your VIN automatically.

Can I use Honda Service Pass at a different dealership?

Yes. Covered maintenance can be performed at any participating Honda dealership in the United States. We'd love to be your service home, but you're not locked in if you travel or relocate.

Does my Maintenance Minder alert have to be active?

Yes. Covered service is tied to the vehicle's maintenance schedule, so the system needs to be indicating that service is due.

Is Honda Service Pass the same as a prepaid maintenance plan?

No. Honda Service Pass is complimentary and included. Prepaid maintenance plans are purchased separately and typically extend coverage further and include more services. Ask us about options if you'd like coverage beyond your Service Pass term.

What happens when my Honda Service Pass expires?

You continue servicing your Honda on the Maintenance Minder schedule, and our service specials and Honda Genuine Parts pricing apply. We can also discuss a prepaid maintenance plan if you'd prefer to lock in future service costs.

I bought a used Honda. Do I have coverage?

Possibly. If the vehicle is a recent model year and still within its term, remaining coverage transfers to you. Give us the VIN and we'll check.
